Delete Your Account and Data

This page explains how to delete your account and personal data from crooom (app name: crooom, developer: Lukas Egli, CreativeBarn). You can do it yourself in the app, or ask us to do it — you do not need the app installed to request deletion.

Option 1 — Delete your account in the app

1. Open the crooom app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Settings.
3. Select Delete account.
4. For security reasons the app may ask you to sign in again — with your password, or through Google or Apple, depending on your account. This happens right inside the deletion dialog.
5. Confirm the deletion. Your account and the associated data are removed immediately.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed or no longer have access to your device, send a request to info@crooom.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject line Account deletion.

We confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Option 3 — Delete individual data without deleting your account

If you only want to remove certain content — a single photo, a document or one trip project — you can delete these individually inside the app, or email info@crooom.com and tell us what should be removed. Your account stays active.

What gets deleted

Activities and expenses you created	Deleted immediately. Expenses entered by someone else that you paid for stay in place so the group can settle up — but without your name
Push notification token for your device	Deleted immediately; no further notifications are sent

What is retained, and for how long

Data	Retention period	Reason
Settlement records from Apple and Google	Up to 10 years	Statutory accounting and tax retention obligations. These records contain payout totals from Apple and Google, but no personal purchase data about individual users. Your subscription status in your user profile is deleted together with your account. Crooom itself never receives or stores payment data.
Server backups containing your data	Up to 30 days	Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle and are not used to restore deleted accounts.
Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics	Indefinitely	Cannot be linked back to you or to any individual person.

Cancelling your subscription

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active crooom Pro subscription. Cancel it separately in the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store under Subscriptions, otherwise billing continues.

Your other rights

Besides deletion, the GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing. Section 12 of our Privacy Policy explains these in full, and how to exercise them.
